A global pandemic. Not one, but two impeachments. An attempt to violently overthrow an election. Concentration camps in Florida. WTF America. A political art show for our time.

Masked thugs drag American citizens off the streets and deport them without hearings, trial, or due process. We spend millions to have men tortured in foreign prisons. The United States runs concentration camps. WTF America?

2025, Alligator Alcatraz opens with 2’x2’ cages holding shackled inmates.
“WTF America“ is a hard-hitting political art exhibition, with large, 60” x 60” to 60” x 120” mixed media paintings. A scathing timeline in red chalk on chalkboard sits above the individual paintings; labels and commentaries of red chalk and chalkboard grace the sides.
This exhibition starts with my painting “Election 2016,” featuring Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Other paintings tackle the big social issues of 2016-2026: gun violence, Roe v. Wade, the Me-Too movement, the storming of the Capital Building, and voting rights.
When “WTF America” hung in Gallery Five, I heard comments from viewers that this installation of work and words connected in a visceral way. It’s been a tough year for those who believe in social justice. This show screams with their voice.
