Like many artists, I am now working in my home studio/living room during the pandemic. It’s actually very convenient to be able to read the news and then to pop into the next room to paint about it. The tricky part is not getting overwhelmed by the daily headlines.
I am now working on new paintings which reflect my ever present concern for women and their children and how the political landscape makes their lives better or worse.
The paintings below represent many years of work. I switched from oil to encaustic, and then straight encaustic to mixed media encaustic. I am learning electronics, welding and sculpture. All to keep creating interesting works, which I hope with connect with you and your heart.
